Paul Caiafa, known as Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein, is an American guitarist who joined the iconic horror punk band the Misfits in 1980 at the age of 16, replacing Bobby Steele. His aggressive downstroke-driven playing style became a defining element of the Misfits’ sound during their original era and their 1990s reunion, which produced the albums American Psycho and Famous Monsters. He later launched a successful solo career with his eponymous band Doyle, releasing albums of horror-themed heavy metal.
