Metal Hall of Fame inductees Twisted Sister have announced the November 13, 2026 release of Totally Twisted – The Studio Albums 1982–1987, a comprehensive box set collecting the band's defining studio era. The archival release will be available as both a five-color-LP vinyl set and a five-CD collection, packaging the albums that established Twisted Sister as one of heavy metal's most distinctive and rebellious voices.

The Twisted Sister box set captures the band's creative peak, spanning from their 1982 breakthrough through their 1987 output. This era produced some of hard rock's most defiant anthems and cemented the band's place in metal history with their theatrical performances and uncompromising attitude.

The Totally Twisted release arrives as Twisted Sister continues to celebrate their 50th anniversary with live performances featuring Sebastian Bach on lead vocals. Bach has stepped into the frontman role for the anniversary shows, carrying forward the band's legacy following the 2015 retirement and 2023 passing of original vocalist Dee Snider's longtime bandmate.

Long Island Legends in the Metal Hall of Fame

Twisted Sister emerged from the Long Island club scene to become one of the 1980s' most recognizable metal acts, as much for their outrageous costumes and makeup as for their music. The band's refusal to compromise their vision—despite early industry resistance—made them heroes to a generation of metalheads who saw their own outsider status reflected in songs that challenged authority and celebrated individuality.

Their induction into the Metal Hall of Fame recognizes not only their commercial success and musical impact, but their role in defending heavy metal during the PMRC hearings of the 1980s and their influence on generations of rock and metal bands that followed. With anthems that remain staples of rock radio and their videos still defining the MTV era, Twisted Sister's legacy as metal pioneers remains secure.

The November release will give fans a chance to revisit—or discover for the first time—the complete studio work from Twisted Sister's most influential period, all in one definitive package.
