Christian metal veterans Stryper have shared a lyric video for "Go Tell It On The Mountain," a track from their latest Christmas album The Greatest Gift of All. The visual, released on October 30, 2026, marks the band's continued promotion of their holiday-themed studio release as the season approaches.
The lyric video extends the band's holiday-era campaign for The Greatest Gift of All, allowing fans to engage with the festive material through a new visual format. "Go Tell It On The Mountain" joins the album's tracklist in celebrating the Christmas season through the band's signature melodic metal sound.
Yellow and Black Attack Meets Yuletide Spirit
Since emerging from the Los Angeles club scene in the 1980s, Stryper has carved out a unique place in heavy metal history as pioneers of Christian hard rock. The band's bold combination of soaring vocals, twin-guitar harmonies, and unabashedly faith-based lyrics set them apart in an era dominated by excess and rebellion. Their breakthrough albums Soldiers Under Command and To Hell with the Devil proved that metal and ministry could coexist, earning them both commercial success and a devoted following.
Stryper's induction into the Metal Hall of Fame recognizes their lasting impact on the genre and their role in demonstrating that heavy metal could serve as a vehicle for positive messages without sacrificing musical intensity. Frontman Michael Sweet's powerful vocals and the band's technical prowess have remained constants throughout their decades-long career, even as the metal landscape has evolved around them.
The release of The Greatest Gift of All and its accompanying visuals demonstrates that Stryper continues to explore new creative territory while staying true to their founding principles. As the band moves into its fifth decade, their willingness to tackle holiday material alongside their traditional hard rock output shows a versatility that has helped them maintain relevance across generations of metal fans.
