Jeff Young is an American guitarist best known for his tenure as Megadeth’s lead guitarist from 1987 to 1989, during which he appeared on the landmark thrash album So Far, So Good… So What! (1988), co-writing solos for tracks including ‘In My Darkest Hour’ and ‘Hook in Mouth.’ A graduate of the Guitar Institute of Technology, Young brought a technically refined yet aggressive approach to Megadeth’s sound during a pivotal period in the band’s career. In 2022, he reunited with former Megadeth bandmate David Ellefson to form Kings of Thrash, performing classic early Megadeth material live. Megadeth – So Far, So Good… So What!
