CLIFTON, NJ (July 25, 2019) – Legendary New York band Anthrax, a member of The Big Four bands (Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, Megadeth) that pioneered the speed/thrash metal genre, was Inducted into the Metal Hall of Fame in front of 40,000 people at the Heavy Montreal music festival on Sunday, July 28, 2019. Metal Hall of Fame President/CEO Pat Gesualdo, and Jimmy Kay (Editor in Chief of The Metal Voice) inducted the band in a special induction ceremony at the festival.
